Ken and Barb have pursued their interest in outdoor, natural history, and lighthouse photography for many years. Growing up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin gave them an appreciation for the Great Lakes region, and the wonderful variety of photo subjects and opportunities found in the Midwest.

Lighthouse photography and research are specialties the Wardius’ take particular pride in. First bitten by the “lighthouse bug” decades ago in Door County, Wisconsin, they began accumulating Wisconsin lighthouse photographs and explored the history of these marvelous maritime beacons. Later this would lead to the publication of two books involving Wisconsin lighthouses. Based out of suburban Milwaukee, Ken and Barb are sought after lighthouse authors and speakers. Their lecture presentations are ideal for the lighthouse buff, nautical enthusiast and anyone who enjoys breathtaking photography.

The Wardius’ have a wide-ranging collection of nature, stock , and Milwaukee photography , as well as the most comprehensive coverage of Wisconsin lighthouses in the state. Their photos have been published extensively in books, magazines, calendars, corporate reports, brochures and on the internet.
